Paula Elliott (c8 Managing Director)

Paula is a PR and marketing consultant with over 18 years’ experience. A full Member of the Institute of Public Relations, she holds a post-experience Diploma in Business Management Studies. Before setting up c8, Paula was a Main Board Director at Kaizo, a very successful London based PR consultancy. At Kaizo she ran a B2B division, which generated over a third of the Company’s income and exceeded all financial targets. Clients and markets that Paula has worked for include: Recruitment – Robert Half International, Consumer Electronics – Samsung Electronics, Digital Imaging and printing – Seiko EPSON Corporation, Charities – NCH, National Children’s Home, Media & Publishing – VNU Publishing, Technology – Hewlett Packard, BMC Software, IT Trade Association, Intellect and the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT) and NEON Systems.
 

Tatiana Miller – Associate Communications Consultant

 

Tatiana is an independent communications consultant with over 14 years experience in the IT sector – both agency and in-house.  Prior to becoming a consultant, Tatiana worked at Symantec where she was responsible for enterprise public relations across the Northern region. In addition, Tatiana developed and managed Symantec's pan-EMEA corporate communications programme, focussing on executive speaker and media relations programmes, executive tours and managing media plans around M&A activity.  Prior to Symantec, Tatiana developed and managed Veritas Software’s EMEA corporate communications programme across 18 countries in EMEA. Tatiana started her communications career at London PR agency Brodeur where she ran media relations programmes for IBM Global Services, IBM Networking Systems EMEA, IBM Software EMEA, AMP and Claris.
 

Clare Shephard – Associate PR Consultant

 

Clare Shephard has 11 years B2B, B2C, PR and marketing experience in the IT sector – both agency and in-house.  Clare has strong client-side understanding having worked in pan-European roles for a number of companies in the technology sector such as 3Com Corporation, leading packaged software company Corel and more recently Veritas Software which was acquired by Symantec in December 2004.  Prior to working in-house, Clare worked for London PR Agency Kaizo, where she ran media relations programmes for a number of blue chip organisations.  Clare is an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

 

Cathy O’Neill – Marketing Consultant

 

Cathy graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in journalism, film and broadcast and joined National Chartered Surveyors, Atisreal in February 2005 as a research and marketing assistant based in Cardiff. Cathy enjoyed the marketing elements of her job and decided to focus completely on PR and marketing and subsequently joined C8 Consulting in August 2006.  Cathy’s responsibilities include copywriting, event management, overseeing the C8 Press Office, and dealing with all journalist enquiries on a day-to-day basis.  Clients that Cathy currently supports include: Stonemartin, Data Encryption Systems, Business Continuity Services, Staff&Line UK and Scalable Software.  Cathy is also the direct contact with regard to any queries relating to the Twenties Club.

Charlotte Hicks – Marketing Consultant

 

Charlotte joined C8 Consulting in October 2007, having previously worked for worldwide technology company, Cisco Systems Inc. Charlotte graduated from the University of the West of England with a 2.1 in Psychology. She previously worked for managed space provider Stonemartin at Davidson House, Reading. This was Charlotte's first insight into event management in particular. Charlotte's responsibilities included looking after the IoD hub, organising conferences and other smaller meetings. Working for Stonemartin demonstrated to Charlotte that events was an area she'd like to focus more on and working for C8 Consulting has widened her experience to marketing and PR as well, something that she had only touched upon. Charlotte's clients currently include FAST Ltd, Numara Software, Staff&Line UK Ltd, The Twenties Club and TSANet Europe.

 
 

Jenny Nelson

Jenny is an HR specialist with extensive experience in the design and
development of multi-media learning materials. Jenny worked for over
10 years within the financial services industry in a variety of training
and development roles. She has designed training solutions ranging
from induction programmes for new cashiers to project management
workshops for senior managers. Jenny began her career with HDL Training
and Development where she was responsible for writing and editing
management development materials for clients including Waitrose, the
BBC, Unilever and Henley Management College. She is a member of the
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Stephen Martin

Stephen Martin was previously the Marketing Director for Reliance Security and of OKI Systems (UK) and a Managing Consultant at Frank Lynn & Associates. His experience in market investigation and line management means that he contributes strongly to understanding complex organisational decision-making. At Reliance Stephen implemented a customer care programme and a new business drive that grew the company turnover significantly whilst reducing customer churn to below 5%. At OKI he was responsible for launching a major brand awareness programme alongside a complete reorganisation of the channels to market that managed to grow awareness by 500% and simultaneously grow profits by 47%. Stephen holds a BSc in GeoChemistry and an MBA from Cranfield. He is a member of the Market Research Society.
